Global forest destruction is intensifying. Not only in rainforests but also in temperate forests like in Australia. Western Australia, where I once lived, has only 1% of its forests left. It is heartbreaking to see how local communities desperately fight against the Government logging agencies.
The intensifying of global forest destruction must be stopped. It is time to understand the function of forests and their unique wildlife, and to mitigate climate change by storing carbon and leave a positive legacy for future generations.
